Downhill sled ride to Christmas

It always seems there is plenty of time until the holidays until after Halloween and you realize you only have 8 short weeks to get everything done. Now that the wedding is over and things are starting to slow down, I can get into my Christmas card making. I did work on one small project last week. A cheap $4 clock from the dollar store, modge podge, scrap paper and now I have a new clock for my craft room. I got the idea from a great tutorial over at endless possibilities blog. I made a few modifications and I think it came out perfect for my craft room. One note, the cover does not fit back on after you modge podge the paper on, but it doesn’t really bother me.

Can you Belize it?

Well, I have been wanting to start a blog.  I finally got around to it.  It wasn’t too much trouble to set up, but choosing a name was another matter.  I have been thinking of names all week and in the end chose the easy way out.  I combined 2 of our dogs names, Rogue and Katrina.  Poor Loki is left out of this one. Though, I am sure he doesn’t mind a bit.

Bill and I have been married now for just over a week.  We had a wonderful time in Belize and the wedding went off smoothly.  We had family and friends with us to make the day even more special.

While I have been off work this week, I needed to get going on thank you notes.  I wanted to do something with our new monogram. The cricut Martha Stewart elegant cake art cartridge gave me the font I wanted and the frame was from the Home Decor cartridge.  I stamped and embossed the heart on vellum and attached the vellum and the monogram  to a simple 4 x 5.5 card. Easy peasy!
